Creative Giving

Some Catholic seniors with limited income think that they cannot give meaningfully to the Church, but through the use of creative planned giving methods, unexpectedly significant gifts are often possible.

When Jane Davenport, 92, of Westminster met Bishop Kevin Vann, she immediately knew she wanted to help his plans for the transformation of Christ Cathedral. Mrs. Davenport was surprised and pleased when the Orange Catholic Foundation helped facilitate three charitable gift annuities that allow her to remain in her home, receive income for her lifetime, and provide immediate funds toward Bishop Vann's vision.

As a longtime Catholic and parishioner at St. Polycarp, Mrs. Davenport says she is pleased to help the Bishop with his work: "I'm glad that the Church will use the money to make his vision of the Cathedral possible for everyone."
